Kellie is the founder of The Wisdom MethodTM School of Yoga – a Yoga Alliance registered yoga school offering foundational yoga teacher training and specialty training programs in Florida. We currently offer a 305-hour Wisdom Method Foundations yoga teacher training & apprenticeship program, an 85-hour Prenatal yoga teacher training, a 95-hour Youth yoga teacher training and specialty trainings {including a 120-hr Restorative, Yin, + Yoga Nidra} which may be used towards the 700-hr Wisdom Method Therapeutics Training, Level 1.

Upon completion of the programs, you will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance at the corresponding level:

305-hr Foundations :: 200- hr Registered Yoga Teacher {RYT-200}

85-hr Prenatal :: Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher {RPYT}

700-hr Therapeutics, Level I :: 500-hr Registered Yoga Teacher {RYT-500}*

*this program abides by the International Association of Yoga Therapists guidelines for yoga therapy grandfathering.

About the Wisdom Method School of Yoga

The school is registered with the Yoga Alliance + offers 3 registered programs in addition to specialty Continuing Education for yoga teachers + wellness professional.  Yoga Alliance CEUs will be provided to RYT200 + RYT500s for eligible workshops.

Program director Kellie Adkins is a yoga educator + teacher of yoga teachers. With over 5000 teaching hours + numerous hours of specialty training, Kellie holds the highest level of national registration for yoga teachers. Although Kellie’s true love is Vinyasa Flow yoga, she has completed over 200 hours additional training in yoga therapeutics {including restorative/yin yoga}, 250 hours advanced training in Ashtanga yoga, 100 specialty hours in yogic breathing techniques, 300 hours of Anatomy & Kinesiology {including graduate level coursework}, 200 hours study in Ayurveda, + has been a practitioner of contemplative meditation since 1998. Always a student, Kellie is currently enrolled in an Ayurvedic practitioner correspondence course & continues to study with her mentors + teachers. Kellie founded + directs the Wisdom Method School of Yoga – an integrative yoga school offering basic, specialty, + advanced yoga studies.

Kellie’s academic trainings have spanned Western nutrition + neuroscience, anatomy + kinesiology, Classical Indian philosophy, Tibetan Buddhist studies, philosophy, comparative religion, health promotion, gender studies, + include a graduate degree in Nutrition Science from Florida State University {2007} + a B.A. from New College of Florida {2003}.

Kellie offers private yoga + meditation classes, yoga teacher training, mentor coaching for yoga professionals, + continuing education, in + around her Central Florida home. Private classes with Kellie are 75 minutes {or longer} + include a structural range of motion assessment, spinal tension evaluation, customized Hatha yoga sequence, & personalized breathing & meditation techniques.
